BBB - The Political Party
The BoerBurgerBeweging, often abbreviated as BBB, is a Dutch political party officially founded on November 1, 2019.
The party began in response to concerns of farmers and rural residents about policies that affected them, such as nitrogen policies. BBB wants to better represent the voice of farmers and citizens in Dutch politics
The party leader is Caroline van der Plas.
Where does BBB stand in politics.
- In the House of Representatives, BBB has 8 of the 150 seats.
- Since July 2, 2024, BBB has been part of the coalition government in the Netherlands.
- In the Senate, BBB has 13 of the 75 seats.
- In the 2023 provincial elections, BBB won 137 of the 570 seats in the provinces. This made BBB the largest!
- BBB provided 19 of the 60 deputies to the provinces.
- In the European Parliament, BBB has 2 seats.
